Goals are good but...

Listening to Sade's new album "Soldier of Love". How she conveys hope through all her melancholy is simply charming. Her last song which is more like a ballad says "My heart's been a lonely warrior who has been to war so you can be sure your love is in a sacred place". It just reminds me that when you go to dark places in life it just increases your capacity for light; if you can handle it.

All Good Things

Sipping some Yogi "Breathe Deep" tea. The qoute says "Serve humanity so that people feel we are kind to them". That does not make any sense to me. I serve simply because I AM kind and also I'm an Aquarius so it's just my calling.

Officially relocated

Here I am. In transition to a new space, and new life here in San Francisco. I couldn't ask for a better living condition considering everything. I am two blocks from Golden Gate Park, 5 minutes from three different yoga studios, not to mention in the middle of the Haight! There are lots of characters moseying around.
Finding a place to work, build clientele and community are all things in the forefront of my mind. I'm oh so curious to see how long it'll take to manifest.

Relocating geographically

Just geographically because you can still find me here.

Yoga me

Yoga is 99% practice and 1% knowledge. ~Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois

I have finished my first Yoga Teacher Training with Anne Nowell at Yoganic Studio. It all started May 2008 with 6 ladies craving yoga! Actually it started much before that in my thoughts and dreams, but manifested last year (the year of the Rat, and I'm a Rat). I made some beautiful friends, self-discoveries and shifts towards more expansive awareness.
My personal practice is lacking determination and commitment. Maybe it's because I'm not ready for the changes that will happen when it becomes part of me.

States of being

"The most valuable things in life are not measured in monetary terms. The really important things are not houses and lands, stocks and bonds, automobiles and real state, but friendships, trust, confidence, empathy, mercy, love and faith."
- Bertrand Russell

Vegetarianism; for me or not for me

I started being "mostly" vegetarian about 2 years ago to help my digestive system. I had a pretty bad case of IBS and the only thing that significantly helped was cutting out meat and dairy products (as well as most wheat). I would never say I was a vegetarian, only that "I'm not eating meat". I don't like putting myself under a label. This year I started introducing all of those products back into my body mostly because I met a wonderful guy from Texas who is now my boyfriend (Texans are meat eaters! I know it's a label).

website dedication

It's the dawn of a new year! 2009. I am so pleased to now have this central place to record all my happenings, discoveries, and ideas.

Knowing others is intelligence. Knowing yourself is true wisdom (Lao Tse)

This website is dedicated to all that are on the journey of self-discovery.
I am here to share the treasures, tools and wisdom that I find on my way.
Thanks for stopping by! Blessed be.
